SRINAGAR, JULY 07: A delegation led by Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen, former Minister and President, J&K People’s Democratic Front (PDF) called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday.
The members of the delegation projected various public important issues of Budgam District pertaining to reopening of Tosamaidan, night halts of tourists at Doodhpathri, reopening of the Bugroo–Raithan–Mujpathri–Doodhpathri road and water supply in Humhama area.
Dr. Suheel Rasool Mir, Sociologist and Cultural Researcher called on Lieutenant Governor and apprised him of several initiatives aimed at documenting, preserving, and promoting the Union Territory’s diverse cultural heritage.
Dr. Mir briefed the Lieutenant Governor on his extensive research and cultural documentation initiatives, including the conceptualization, curation, and establishment of Shina Cultural Centre at Gurez, Pahari Cultural Centre at Karnah, and Shina-Dard Cultural Centre at Darchik.
The Lieutenant Governor was also presented with the inaugural edition of Shinon Meeras Dard Heritage Magazine, and a book titled ‘Voices Across the Pir Panjal,’ authored by Dr. Mir.
Adv. Jehanzeb Allaqaband, Founder, The Kashmir Conclave, and Mian Yaseen, Founder, Kashmir AI & Creator Summit (KACS) called on Lieutenant Governor.
They briefed the Lieutenant Governor on the objectives and proposed framework for the upcoming Kashmir Conclave, an annual intellectual forum, and Kashmir AI & Creator Summit.
