Srinagar, June 06: Continuing its sustained efforts under the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Police in Pulwama carried out a series of enforcement, preventive, and awareness activities aimed at curbing the drug menace and strengthening community participation.
In a significant action, Police in Pulwama retrieved four properties that had been encroached upon by drug peddlers in the areas of Marval and Khadermoh. The action forms part of the sustained drive against individuals involved in narcotics-related activities and reflects the commitment of J&K Police to dismantle networks supporting the drug trade.
As part of the regulatory and preventive measures under the campaign, inspections of several medical shops were also carried out to ensure compliance with prescribed norms relating to regulated drugs and medicines.
On the awareness front, an anti-drug awareness programme was organised at Government Higher Secondary School Kakapora, where students and staff were sensitized about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of collective efforts in building a drug-free society.
J&K Police reiterates its firm commitment to continue strict enforcement, preventive action, and sustained awareness initiatives under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan and urges the public to actively support the mission by sharing information related to drug abuse and narcotics trafficking.
