Amarnath Yatra: Deputation plans of advance parties reviewed at Anantnag

ANANTNAG, MAY 13: As part of the preparatory phase for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2026, the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Anantnag (Yatra Officer Pahalgam Axis), Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat Wednesday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review and finalise the plans for deputation of advance parties to the Yatra track including base camps and other important locations.

Pertinently four specialized teams comprising officials of Revenue, Police, RDD, SDRF, F&ES, IFC and PWD have been designated to conduct a thorough physical audit of the entire route from Nunwan Base Camp upto the Holy Cave. Acting as the key part of the district administration’s preparation efforts, each team has a well-defined jurisdiction/stretch for ensuring a holistic assessment of the ground conditions.

During the review, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the critical importance of meticulously capturing every detail along the track, from the structural integrity of the paths to the strategic placement of utility points. He asked the teams to assess the possible impact of seasonal weather on the terrain, and verify the readiness of sites designated for medical camps, shops, tents, langars, and emergency shelters during the Yatra period.

Dr. Bilal on the occasion directed for organising a proper training session forthwith for the departing parties so that they perform the assigned tasks with utmost precision and efficiency.
