Srinagar, Apr 30: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Thursday held a workers’ meeting at Kani Mazar, Nawabazar.
The meeting was chaired by PDP General Secretary Mohammad Khursheed Alam, former MLA, and Women’s Wing President Anjum Fazli. It was attended by Zuhaib Mir, Arif Laigroo, Dr. Ali Mohammad, Sarah Nayeem, Sheikh Gowher Shafi Kundangar, Khalid Mir, Sheikh Sabah, Imtiaz Shah, Tufail Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmad, Bilal Ahmad, Faheem Shakeel, Numan, and other party workers.
During the meeting, Asmat Bilal was proposed as the candidate for Nawabazar ward, receiving strong support from party workers.
Speaking on the occasion, Anjum Fazli said, “The strength of our party lies in its grassroots workers. We must stay connected with the people, especially women and youth, and work collectively to address their issues.”
Zuhaib Mir, in his address, said, “This gathering reflects the commitment and unity within the party. We must intensify our outreach and ensure that PDP’s vision reaches every household.”
Arif Laigroo also addressed the meeting and said, “We need to remain proactive on the ground and stand firmly with the people in these challenging times. Strengthening the organization at the ward level is key to our future success.”
The leaders emphasized unity, coordination, and active public engagement, reiterating the party’s commitment to serve the people of the area.
