Rural economies continue to evolve, thanks to the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). Bringing hope and future sustainability to farming communities has evolved from being just a policy as on paper to evolving into a successful reality with tremendous accomplishments that were once thought to be impossible.

Reports from the latest updates show the revolution taking place in Jammu and Kashmir through the HADP has resulted in the development of over 111,000 new agricultural units within the region.

111,000 new agricultural units do not only represent a number; the creation of new agricultural units has created job opportunities, income possibilities, and financial freedom for the farmers of Jammu and Kashmir.

The success of the HADP has produced impressive accomplishments, along with developing a development model with an enormous return on investment and an enormous impact on agricultural development:

The programme has created an estimated Rs368 crores of new annual revenue generated in the rural economy.

The HADP programme has created an estimated 24,500,000 employment opportunities, allowing for numerous people to gain access to sustainable employment.

In addition to creating operational units, the HADP programme is currently providing beneficiaries with an estimated Rs173 crores in annual profits, providing an estimated annual increase of approximately Rs25,000 in family income.

HADP is a comprehensive success. It consists of 29 integrated projects in agriculture, horticulture, and livestock that encompass the entire farming spectrum.

The programme is converting traditional subsistence farming into commercially profitable operations through promotion of high-density fruit farms, increased dairy production, and modern sheep farms.

HADP’s success stems from the cooperation of the Jammu AND Kashmir Administration; the Agriculture Departments; and above all, the diligent farmers of Jammu AND Kashmir.

HADP’s accelerating maturing signals that Jammu AND Kashmir is progressing toward a future of Agricultural Self-sufficiency, prosperity, And Environmental sustainability.
