Gurez, Apr 20: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held a high-level organizational meeting in Gurez to review party affairs and discuss measures for strengthening the party structure in the constituency.
The meeting was attended by PDP Spokesperson and Constituency Incharge Tajamul Islam, District President Bandipora Syed Sajad, District Vice President Mehboob Hussain, and Zonal President Gurez Nissar Ahmed, besides senior party workers and functionaries.
The meeting focused on organizational restructuring, expansion of the membership drive, strengthening grassroots-level units, and intensifying public outreach across the constituency. Detailed discussions were also held on various public issues concerning Gurez, with leaders reaffirming the party’s commitment to raising people’s concerns at all appropriate forums.
Addressing the meeting, the party leadership stressed greater coordination among cadres, unity within the organization, and sustained political engagement to further consolidate the party’s presence in the region. Leaders also called for renewed efforts to reconnect with the public and strengthen the party at the booth and zonal levels.
Special deliberations were held regarding the April 28 Kath Baat programme at District Headquarters Bandipora, with party leaders expressing confidence that Gurez constituency would emerge as number one in participation, organizational strength and development initiatives.
The participants reiterated their resolve to work collectively for the political empowerment and development of Gurez, while expressing confidence that the party would emerge stronger through sustained grassroots engagement and organizational unity.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to intensify party activities and carry forward a coordinated outreach programme in the coming weeks.
