Police launch training to boost VIP security preparedness

Srinagar, Apr 17: A two-days training module in every District of Jammu province is aimed at enhancing alertness, preparedness and professional competence among Police personnel.

The current two days session commenced at District Police Lines (Samba) & District Police Lines Doda on Friday.

The aim of this training module is to reach to every police personnel about the role and responsibilities being part of the Police wing, to strengthen the operational efficiency and responsiveness of personnel deployed on security duties from District Police during VVIP/VIP movement and other important events/ occasions.

On this day i.e. 17.04.2024, focused training sessions were conducted on VIP security arrangements and the effective handling of security gadgets.

These sessions have been designed to familiarize the participants with standard operating procedures, emerging security challenges and the proper use of modern equipment in real-time scenarios.

The programme witnessed the maximum participation of Police personnel, including Gazetted Officers (GOs) and Non-Gazetted Officers (NGOs), reflecting a broad-based approach towards capacity building across different ranks.

Rakesh Kumar, JKPS, Staff Officer to IGP Security J&K and Khalid Amin, SSP Security J&K addressed the participants and delivered a detailed and comprehensive briefing during the process.

The officers emphasised the importance of such training programmes in the present security environment and highlighted the need for continuous skill up-gradation to effectively tackle evolving threats and challenges.

They also impressed upon the participants to internalize the learnings and apply them diligently in the field to ensure robust and foolproof security arrangements.
