Srinagar, April 10: A delegation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Friday visited Karfali Mohalla, Habba Kadal, to express solidarity with the families affected by a devastating fire incident that completely gutted four residential houses.
The delegation was led by former State Secretary and Constituency Incharge Habba Kadal, Arif Laigroo and included former MLA Noor Mohammad Sheikh, former State Secretary Abdul Hameed Kohsheen, District Coordinator Dr. Ali Mohammad, Zone President Tufail Bhat, Shakeel Ahmed, Bilal Naiku and other party workers.
During the visit, the leaders interacted with the affected families and assessed the extent of the damage. They expressed deep concern over the losses suffered, noting that the houses were completely destroyed, leaving families without shelter and essential belongings.
Speaking on the occasion, Arif Laigroo urged the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to provide immediate relief and rehabilitation to the affected families on a priority basis. He emphasized the need for timely assistance, including financial aid and temporary accommodation, to help the victims cope with the crisis.
The PDP delegation assured the affected families of their full support and pledged to take up the matter with the concerned authorities to ensure swift assistance.
