Udhampur, Mar 20: An inter-district drug peddler was arrested with heroin in Rehambal area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district, police said on Friday.
A police team from Police Station Rehambal apprehended the during routine patrolling.
He has been identified as Varun Panday, son of Rajinder Kumar and a resident of New Plot, Janipur in Jammu.
During a personal search, officials recovered 15.60 grams of heroin concealed in a polypouch from the right pocket of his trousers, they said.
The accused was arrested on the spot and a case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal.
Further investigation is underway, police added. (KNC)
