Speaks with leaders of Oman, Kuwait, Qatar
New Delhi, March 3: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held separate telephonic conversations with the leaders of Oman, Kuwait and Qatar, discussing recent developments in West Asia and reaffirming India’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the three nations.
In a conversation with Haitham bin Tarik, the Prime Minister exchanged views on the evolving situation in the region. He condemned the violation of Oman’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Both leaders agreed that sustained diplomatic engagement is essential for the earliest restoration of regional peace and stability.
The Prime Minister also expressed deep appreciation for Oman’s continued support to the Indian community.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said he had spoken with Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, condemned the violation of Oman’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and emphasized the need for sustained diplomatic efforts to restore peace and stability. He also appreciated Oman’s support to the Indian community.
In a separate conversation, the Prime Minister spoke with Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait. During the discussion, he conveyed that India condemns the violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and stands with its people in this difficult hour.
The two leaders underscored the significance of dialogue and diplomacy in restoring regional peace and stability. The Prime Minister also appreciated the Kuwaiti leadership’s continued support in ensuring the safety and well-being of the Indian community in Kuwait.
In a post on X, he described the conversation as productive and reiterated India’s solidarity with Kuwait, stressing the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for regional peace.
The Prime Minister also spoke with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar. He conveyed that India stands firmly in solidarity with Qatar and strongly condemns any violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Both leaders emphasized the urgent need to restore peace and stability in the region through dialogue and diplomacy. The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the continued support and care extended by the Qatari leadership to the Indian community in Qatar during the challenging period.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said he had spoken with the Amir of Qatar, reaffirmed India’s solidarity, and highlighted the need for peace and stability through diplomatic means.
