Srinagar, Mar 03: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a fresh weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting mainly partly cloudy conditions with brief spells of light rain and snow in higher reaches over the coming days.
According to the forecast, from March 3 to 6, the weather will remain partly cloudy across the Union Territory, with a brief spell of light snow expected over isolated higher reaches on March 4.
From March 7 to 9, the weather is likely to remain generally cloudy, with light rain in plains and light snowfall over higher altitudes at isolated to scattered places.
Between March 10 and 11, conditions will be partly to generally cloudy, with light rain and snow (in higher reaches) at scattered locations.
The MeT department has predicted generally dry weather from March 12 to 14, followed by generally cloudy conditions again on March 15 and 16.
Farmers have been advised to continue their farm operations as planned.
The department has also forecast a further rise in daytime temperatures by 1–2°C at most places during the next four days. Thereafter, a fall of 2–4°C at many places is expected. (KINS)
