To attend KU’s 21st convocation ceremony

Srinagar: Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan will attend the 21st convocation ceremony of Kashmir University as Chief Guest. He will distribute awards and gold medals among the meritorious students. He will also deliver the convocation address.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Minister of Higher Education, Sakina Itoo and others will also attend the convocation slated for next week, officials added.
The officials informed that a meeting was held in the convocation hall of the University of Kashmir wherein the officials from the varsity, police and civil administration took part.
They said that the agenda of the meeting was to review the security measures and the arrangements for the Vice-President’s Kashmir visit.
“They reviewed the measures to be taken for the security of the chief guest C P Radhakrishnan who is scheduled to arrive here on 26th February for the 21st convocation of KU,” the official said. (KNO)
