Srinagar, Feb 14: Tragedy struck the Bemina locality on Saturday after a young child lost his life following a fall inside his home, officials said.
The five year old boy sustained grievous injuries after falling from an elevated portion of the residential structure. He was immediately evacuated to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for emergency medical attention, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Officials identified the deceased as Daniyal Sheikh, son of Parveez Ahmad Sheikh of Bemina.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. (KNT)
