Srinagar, Jan 25: During the ongoing Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 in New Delhi, SUO Arpun Deep Kour of 3 J&K Battalion NCC, Baramulla, was awarded the prestigious Raksha Mantri Padak by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for exemplary duty, service and discipline.
The award was conferred in recognition of her outstanding role during Operation Sindoor, during which she coordinated and executed relief activities in Baramulla district for displaced populations from border villages of North Kashmir.
She provided timely assistance to the affected families, ensuring relief was delivered with compassion and dignity.
Her selfless leadership during the operation reflected the core values of discipline, teamwork and humanitarian service, embodying the spirit of ‘Nation First’ despite personal hardship.
Her conduct, marked by patience, sincerity and dedication to noble causes, has inspired fellow NCC cadets to work towards a better future for themselves and the nation.
