Tangmarg, Jan 6: A youth from Kulgam was found dead inside a hotel in the Tangmarg area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday, triggering concern and prompting a police investigation.
Officials said the deceased has been identified as Haziq Reyaz, a resident of Larkipora in Kulgam. He had checked into the hotel in Tangmarg and was staying there since last night.
Soon after receiving information about the incident, a police team from Tangmarg Police Station rushed to the spot and took cognizance of the matter.
The body was later shifted from the hotel for medico legal formalities.
Officials said police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of death. All possible angles are being examined as part of the probe. (CNS)
