Ganderbal, December 19: Continuing its special drive against absconders, Police in Ganderbal on Friday said to have achieved another success by arresting an absconder who had been evading arrest for six years.
The arrested individual has been identified as Mohd Munshi Gojer son of Wali Mohd Gojer resident of Khanpora Nagrota, who was wanted in case under FIR number 50/2020 U/S 279, 427 IPC of Police Station Gund, a police spokesman said.
Acting on specific information, a police team from Police Station Gund after strenuous efforts apprehended the said absconder and after completing all legal formalities, the accused was produced before the Court JMIC Kangan, wherefrom he has been sent to Central Jail Srinagar.
Meanwhile, J&K Police is committed to bringing all absconders and offenders to justice and ensuring that no one evades the law.
