ANANTNAG, DECEMBER 13: The 4th National Lok-Adalat was organized in the District Court and other subordinate courts of District Anantnag Saturday, under the Chairmanship of Tahir Khurshid Raina, PDJ Anantnag.
The Lok-Adalat at District headquarters Anantnag was inaugurated by PDJ Anantnag and was also attended by Judicial Officers of District Anantnag, Senior Advocates of Bar Association Anantnag, LADCS, PLVS and Staff.
By the concerted efforts of all presiding officers of all the courts, cooperation rendered by the learned advocates and officers of various government departments, insurance companies and banking institutions. A total number of 2615 cases were taken up by 10 benches in the district out of which 2138 cases were settled in the Lok-Adalat.
An amount of Rs,15,07,81,065 was awarded as settlement amount in all cases including award of Rs. 71.16 lakh in 9 MACT cases.
