Shopian, December 06: As a part of ongoing measures to curb narcotics-related activities, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday said to have attached a double-story residential house valued at ₹23,05244 with a plinth area of 6 Marla under Survey No. 1169 min, belonging to Mohd Rafiq Ganie, resident of Hermain Shopian.
The property has been found to be acquired using money obtained through the sale of illegal drugs and narcotics. The accused has been previously involved in multiple NDPS cases, including FIR No. 26/2020 of Police Station Shopian and 85/2022 of Police Station Heerpora, a police spokesman said.
The attachment process was executed in the presence of a duly constituted police team, Executive Magistrate, Lambardar and Chowkidar, ensuring full compliance with all legal protocols, police said.
Meanwhile, J&K Police reiterated its commitment to enforcing the law against narcotics-related offences and appealed to the public to report any information regarding drug-related activities.
