Srinagar: Srinagar Police, supported by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), carried out a cordon-and-search operation (CASO) in the Lal Chowk area on Friday morning.
Officials said the operation was part of intensified security measures in the busy commercial hub. Teams conducted surprise inspections of hotels and guest houses, verifying visitor records and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
The operation continued for several hours, and no suspicious activity was reported during the checks. Authorities emphasized that such security sweeps are routinely carried out to maintain vigilance and ensure the safety of residents and visitors in the city. (KINS)
