Enhancing student enrolment

With the beginning of new academic session, the school education department of Jammu and Kashmir has started a new divisional level enrolment drive in order to enhance the enrolment in government schools.

The imitative is not confined to enhancing the student enrolment but it also aims to educate and aware the students about the perks and upgradation of quality education in public schools.

Director of School Education Kashmir has asked the concerned stakeholders to ensure door to door drive so that there is a maximum participation of students and also to make aware the benefits of education to the Out of School Children.

The student enrolment drive that usually takes every year brings hope to those  who cannot afford to enrol their wards in private schools.

By continuing the drive, SED is directly sending a powerful message to every parent that their education is important for them and will do every possible thing to make it happen and educate their wards free of cost.

The drive further shows an understanding of the ground reality many families face, when poverty and social barriers, and sometimes just not knowing, can keep a child from even getting to the classroom.

The promise of admitting a child at front doorstep is important since it is one of the few times the government has reached out and made every effort to serve a family through the school system.

The enrolment drive will safeguard the students from the underprivileged and financially backward students. DSEK has promised to take this initiative to every nook and corner of Kashmir. They have also promised of taking it to every single village where education has remained a distant dream.

It offers an opportunity to the students and parents to know the  improvements that have taken place in public schools . This includes the newly started classrooms, ATL labs and other improved facilities.

The drive is a perfect platform and an invitation to the concerned to experience a new era of education in public schools.
