Srinagar, Oct 29: The Jammu and Kashmir government Wednesday introduced three key bills in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.
Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Javid Ahmad Dar, introduced a Bill in the Legislative Assembly seeking to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Panchayati Raj Act, 1989 (Act No. IX of 1989).
“I rise to introduce a bill to ammend the Jammu and Kashmir Panchayati Raj Act, 1989 (Act No. IX of 1989) (L.A. Bill No.5 of 2025). The Bill has already been published in an extraordinary issue of the Official Gazette,” the minister said.
Javid Ahmad Dar, who also holds the portfolio for Cooperative Department also introduced Cooperative Societies Amendment Bill, 2025 in the Assembly
“I rise to introduce a Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Cooperative Societies Act, 1989 (Act No. XVII of 1989) (L.A. Bill No.7 of 2025). The Bill has already been published in an extraordinary issue of the Official Gazette,” the minister said.
Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, today introduced a Bill regarding employment and service condition of workers in the Legislative Assembly.
“I rise to introduce a Bill to amend and consolidate laws relating to regulation of employment and other conditions of service of workers in shops and establishments (L.A. Bill No.6 of 2025). The Bill has already been published in an extraordinary issue of the Official Gazette,” Deputy Chief Minister said.
