Omar, cabinet Ministers extend greetings

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 20: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Monday extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to all those celebrating the festival of Diwali across the country and beyond.
In his message, the Chief Minister said that Diwali, the festival of lights, signifies the triumph of good over evil and the victory of truth and righteousness. He noted that the festival is a celebration of hope and harmony, symbolizing the enduring values of compassion, unity and mutual respect that enrich India’s diverse cultural heritage.
Omar Abdullah expressed hope that the festival would bring joy, peace and prosperity to every home.
“May this Diwali usher in a new era of happiness, peace, and progress for Jammu and Kashmir and the entire country,” the Chief Minister said.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet Ministers also extend their greetings on Diwali.
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo has extended her heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the joyous occasion of Diwali- Festival of Lights.
In her message, the Minister said that Diwali is a festival that symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil, and reminds us of the power of hope, compassion and collective effort in building a brighter and healthier future for all.
The Minister also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the entire Jammu and Kashmir.
Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people on the joyous occasion of Diwali.
In his message, Rana said that Diwali symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. He urged everyone to celebrate the festival with love, harmony, and a spirit of togetherness.
“May this Diwali bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to all. Let us also remember to share our joy with the less privileged and keep our environment clean and safe,” he said.
He underlined the tradition of celebrating festivals in an atmosphere of amity and brotherhood and called for strengthening the same in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said the occasion teaches us to rededicate ourselves in the service of people, reaffirm our commitment towards brotherhood and selfless service to humanity.
Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Information Technology, Youth Services and Sports,  Satish Sharma has extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Diwali – the Festival of Lights.
In his message, Satish Sharma said that Diwali is a celebration of the eternal victory of light over darkness and righteousness over evil. He said the festival reminds us of the power of truth, compassion, and unity in strengthening the social fabric and fostering a spirit of collective progress.
The Minister urged the people to celebrate the festival with joy and mutual respect, promoting harmony and goodwill among all sections of society.
Satish Sharma also prayed for peace, prosperity, and the overall development of Jammu and Kashmir, wishing that the light of Diwali brings renewed hope and happiness to every home.
