Pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 01: The Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha in his message on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti Wednesday urged people to dedicate themselves for the promotion of peace and Viksit Bharat.
In his message, he said: “I pay my heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi on his 156th birth anniversary. I extend my warm greetings to the people of Jammu Kashmir. This is an occasion for all of us to rededicate ourselves to internalize Bapuji’s ideals of peace, non-violence, truth, tolerance, compassion, self-less service and contribute in building Viksit Bharat.”
He said that Bapu dedicated his life for freedom of our country, social equity and development of our villages.
“His concept of Swadeshi was focused on making India Aatm-Nirbhar and boost local production. I appeal to all the people to buy Swadeshi Products and strengthen local artisans and cottage industries. On this momentous day, let us take a pledge to follow the path of truth and non-violence and dedicate ourselves towards promoting peace and work for the Viksit Bharat”.
