Srinagar, Sep 16: A 19-year-old non-local labourer was critically injured after falling from a height while at work in Harwan area of Srinagar on Tuesday.
Officials said the injured, identified as Lala, son of Ab Gaffar, a resident of Rampur, Uttar Pradesh and presently living at Chandipora Harwan, was initially taken to Primary Health Centre Habbak. He was later referred to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment due to the severity of his injuries.
According to his attendant, Lala, who works as a labourer, was engaged in construction work at the residence of Ghulam Qadir Bhat of Kral Mohalla near Shalimar Higher Secondary when the accident occurred. He fell from a height and sustained serious head injuries.
Doctors at SKIMS said his condition is critical and he is under intensive care.
