SSP Budgam flags off Bharat Darshan tour

Srinagar, Sept 04: Under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), J&K Police flagged off a group of 83 students from District Budgam for a week-long Bharat Darshan Tour.
The contingent, accompanied by five caretakers including DySP DAR Budgam, was flagged off by SSP Budgam Nikhil Borkar at District Police Lines Budgam in the presence of Addl. SP Budgam Sajjad Bukhari, DySP Hqrs Budgam, and other senior officers.
Interacting with the students, SSP Budgam urged them to use this opportunity to broaden their horizons, appreciate India’s cultural diversity, and imbibe values of unity, peace, and brotherhood.
He said the tour aims to provide exposure to the country’s history, heritage, development, and modern institutions, thereby boosting confidence and personality development.
The fully sponsored tour by J&K Police covers air travel, boarding, lodging, guided visits, and AC transport. Students will visit New Delhi and Chennai, exploring historical monuments, educational institutions, tourist sites, and industrial units. Each participant has been provided a tour kit, including a tracksuit, shoes, cap, and carry bag.
Parents and students expressed gratitude to J&K Police for this initiative, appreciating its role in channelizing youth energy positively through education, cultural exposure, and career awareness.
