Boosting literacy and learning

With a crucial unfolding in the domain of education and inculcation of reading culture, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan pointed out that the NBT would carry out central government schemes for the promotion of library movement in Jammu and Kashmir.

This bigger move has the potential to open newer avenues for the youth of the region and is a way of empowering them through education and knowledge.

From any knowledge society, lonesome stands a library, whereas a library offers the utmost variety of books and resources for lofty students and scholars.

The existing libraries in Jammu and Kashmir will be supported and developed by the activity of NBT. This will open avenues not just for literacy but also for critical thinking, creativity, and intellect among young learners.

Such an intervention corresponds with NEP 2020, which advocates education of superior quality and equitable opportunity for many more children all over India.

Jammu and Kashmir, being a part of this rich cultural heritage, has a youthful population that would be of great advantage to innumerable children in this region.

A library movement could compensate for deficits in educational facilities and infrastructural provisions in the more rural parts of the region and ensure that every child has the opportunity to go explore the world through books.

These activities would further complement the keeping options open for authors, publishers, and educators in the region.

The Government’s emphasis on education in Jammu and Kashmir appears as a forward-looking indicator where knowledge has been transformed into a key factor of development and equity.

Libraries are capital investments in the future of thousands and thousands of students who today stand as champions for the development of our country.

So much praise must go to the dedicated efforts of NBT and the Ministry of Education.

It vindicates the power of books as an agent for change and sets on the course for a better and enlightened Jammu and Kashmir.
