Jammu, July 16: Junior doctors at Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital Jammu launched a flash strike on Wednesday following an incident of violence against medical staff in the Emergency Ward.
In response to the disruption, Principal and Dean of GMC Jammu, Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, has instructed all Heads of Clinical and Para-clinical Departments to ensure the deployment of faculty members and consultants in the Emergency Ward to maintain uninterrupted patient care until the striking doctors return to duty.
The administration has condemned the assault and appealed for calm while assuring that necessary steps will be taken to safeguard medical personnel. (KINS)
