Srinagar, May 31: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) on Saturday declared summer vacations for all government and recognized private schools falling in the summer zone areas of Jammu division. According to an official order, the vacation period will be observed from June 7 to July 17, 2025.
However, the teaching staff has been instructed to report back to their respective schools on July 14, 2025, to ensure the institutions are ready to welcome students. The preparations will include cleanliness drives, development of Teaching Learning Material (TLM), lesson and timetable planning, and readiness of facilities for online education such as ICT labs.
The directive further states that teachers must remain available to provide online guidance to students throughout the vacation period.
The DSEJ has also warned that any non-compliance by heads of schools or teaching staff will invite disciplinary action as per rules.
