Discusses exemption of pilgrimage from GST, other issues
Srinagar February 16: Er Aijaz Hussain, District Development Council (DDC) Member and Member of the Haj Committee of India, Sunday met with Union Minister Kiren Rijiju in Srinagar.
The discussion focused on important issues, including the creation of a Shia Waqf Board in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the exemption of the Haj Pilgrimage from GST, and the rising costs associated with the Hajj journey from the Srinagar embarkation point.
During the meeting, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju patiently listened to the concerns raised by Er Aijaz Hussain and assured that these matters would be given due consideration.
The Union Minister emphasized that the issues raised are significant for the welfare of Muslims across the country, and he assured that efforts would be made to address them.
