SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 11: The PM Vishwakarma awareness program was Tuesday organized by the Branch MSME DFO Srinagar in collaboration with the District Industries Centre (DIC) Baramulla to create awareness about the Scheme and ensure greater enrolment in fifteen specific trades.
The trades included Pottery, Basket making, Boat making, Toy making, Sculpting and other artisanal crafts that have seen fewer registrations.
The program was inaugurated by General Manager DIC Baramulla, Nighat Alam in presence of Assistant Director Branch MSME DFO Srinagar, Saheel Alaqband and was attended by a wide range of artisans and stakeholders.
Speaking on the occasion, Nighat Alam urged participants to spread information about the PM Vishwakarma Scheme with other eligible persons.
Alaqband in his address emphasized officials to reach out to beneficiaries of underrepresented trades. He also urged participants to share awareness about the scheme among individuals of specific trades & encourage them to register and avail the benefits.
