Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee President Tariq Hamid Karra reiterated the party’s commitment to restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing its vital importance for both the region and the nation.
“The restoration of statehood is not only crucial for the people of Jammu and Kashmir but also aligns with national interests,” Karra stated, expressing concern over the Central Government’s reluctance to address the demand. He questioned the Bharatiya Janata Party’s inaction, noting that repeated reminders to the Prime Minister and Home Minister have yielded no results.
Karra reaffirmed the Congress party’s dedication to pushing for statehood restoration, deeming it essential for the well-being and development of Jammu and Kashmir’s people. “We will not back down on this demand,” Karra said. (CNS)
