I am not a think tank but simply a person who is working as Environmental Science Lecturer at PM Shree Higher Secondary Khellani Doda who like express his views and opinion on the event of Painting Competition organised by 48th Corps Khellani on the Birth Day of First Prime Minister JL Nehru remember as Children Day also called as Bal Divas through the medium of your esteemed daily English newspaper and hope space should be provided to my opinion.
With an aim to encourage children / youth in nation building activities and enhance their creativity skills, Army organised a”Painting Competition” on the theme of children own choice at Govt Higher Secondary School, Khellani Doda. A large numbers of students participated in the competition. The event was witnessed by teachers and prominent persons of Khellani and nearby areas. The students painted their heart out on the canvas enthusiastically and the urge of getting peace and harmony in the region was seen clearly on the drawing sheets. Painting and Drawing Competition at Govt Higher Secondary School Khellani Doda today 14 November, 2024 on the eve of Children Day The competition was organized to enhance the healthy competitive spirit and sense of creativity among the school going children. About 40 children from Govt Higher Secondary School Khellani Doda participated with enthusiasm in the Competition. Speaking on the occasion, Abrar Dev Teacher and also the Stage Secretary of Govt Higher Secondary School expressed his gratitude towards Indian. Speaking on the event Mr Abrar Dev thanks Army by saying that
Indian Army drawings hold a special place in the hearts of people across the nation. These artworks beautifully capture the essence of a soldier’s life, showcasing their selfless service to the country. Artists skillfully use various mediums like pencils, watercolors, charcoal, and digital tools to create stunning visuals that evoke pride and admiration. In this competition the students from First to Eighth Classes participated and are divided into two Cagtagory. The students fro from First to 3rd Class are placed in first category and students from 4th to 8th classes are placed in second category.
Students from various classes participated in the competition. The competition was organized under the theme “Swachh Bharat”. All the participants had put in tremendous hardwork to prove their talent during the competition.
The event showcased the hidden talent in the school children. The paintings and drawings made by the students were apt to the themes of the competition as it brought out their love for nature and displayed national fervor
The winners and runners up were suitably rewarded.
In First Category from class 5th to 8th following students were awarded
1. Kritika Rana from class 8th got
First position
2. Humaira Bano from class 8th got second position
3. Preeti Thakur from class 8th got Third position
And in Second category from class 1st to 4th the following students were awarded
1. Arjun kumar from class 4th got first position
2. Nazia Tabassum from class 3rd
got second position
3. Neha Sharma from class 4th got 3rd position. These awards were handover by 48 th RR Company Commander Mr Amar Chhetry Khellani.
The participants admitted that they had drawn inspiration from the competition and promised to enhance their creative excellence in future.Last but not least the Army officer encouraging students to express their creativity and patriotism through art. Held in honor of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birth anniversary, the event brought together young artists who depicted themes of national pride, peace, and unity. Army officers engaged with the students, sharing inspiring messages and awarding prizes to outstanding artworks. This event highlights the Army’s dedication to nurturing creativity and instilling values of unity and patriotism among future generations.
