Srinagar: National Conference President Farooq Abdullah stated that the recent increase in encounters between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir will not alter the situation on the ground.
Speaking to reporters in Budgam, Abdullah remarked, “Encounters have happened before and will happen in the future; it makes no difference.”
Abdullah, who was in Budgam to attend a court hearing related to a 2017 case, also advocated for a new court building in the district.
He expressed concerns about the limitations of the current facility and urged the government to construct a modern court structure to better serve the people.
He added that Justice Masoodi would oversee efforts to ensure the new facility includes up-to-date amenities. (KINS)
