Srinagar: The security grid on the Line of Control (LoC) is robust and infiltration bids, occurring ahead of the onset of the winter season and inclement weather, will be thwarted, said Inspector General (IG) Border Security Force (BSF) Kashmir frontier Ashok Yadav on Saturday.
The remark was made by IG BSF Kashmir after the passing out-cum attestation parade of 629 recruits in Srinagar.
On the occasion, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reviewed the parade as chief guest and extended best wishes to the newly inducted Seema Praharies as they embarked on their journey to protect the nation.
“Some attempts are made before the winter, but our security grid on the LoC is strong along with the coordination of the Army. We will ensure that any kind of infiltration if it happens gets thwarted,” IG BSF Kashmir frontier said in a response to a question from a reporter.
Expressing confidence in the passing out trainees, IG BSF said that all of them have been trained with all necessary skills and tactics, which they will utilise while executing the responsibilities of the BSF.
He also expressed his gratitude to LG Manoj Sinha for attending the event and instilling confidence in newly inducted personnel. (CNS)
