Srinagar: Nasir Sogami, Advisor to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, addressed concerns regarding recent meetings between Omar Abdullah and national leaders in New Delhi, stating that these gatherings are simply part of regular communication.
“These meetings are just normal coordination between state and national leaders. There’s no need to read too much into them,” Sogami told reporters in Kupwara.
He reaffirmed the strong alliance between the Indian National Congress (INC) and the National Conference (NC) at both state and national levels. “The partnership between INC and the National Conference is solid and will continue to benefit the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he added, dismissing any rumors of conflict within the coalition.
Sogami also discussed the issue of constitutional rights in Jammu and Kashmir, which many believe have been compromised in recent years. “We need to be patient. The process of restoring these rights will take time, but it will happen,” he stated.
During his visit to Kupwara, Sogami met with local party workers, encouraging them to stay committed to the current government. “We are dedicated to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and will ensure that every citizen’s voice is heard,” he concluded. (KINS)
