Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Chief, Tariq Hameed Karra, and Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Leader, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, extended their congratulations to Omar Abdullah on Wednesday for assuming the role of Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, following a long delay.
The Congress leaders also congratulated the newly sworn-in Council of Ministers, who took their oaths alongside Abdullah, administered by the Lieutenant Governor of J&K.
Expressing their optimism, Karra and Mir stated that they are confident the new government under Abdullah’s leadership will meet public expectations and work to address the genuine concerns and hardships of the people. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir have endured six years of President’s rule through no fault of their own, and they have high hopes for this elected government,” they remarked.
The Congress leaders wished Abdullah and his government success, hoping it would steer Jammu and Kashmir toward prosperity, progress, and inclusive development. (KINS)
