Jammu: With the last phase culminating today, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed an overall voter turnout of 63.45 percent across all three phases announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI) in August.
Polling for 24 Assembly constituencies was held on September 18, followed by the second phase for 26 constituencies on September 25. The last phase was conducted today for 40 Assembly constituencies.
The poll percentage in the first phase was 61.38%, in the second phase it was 57.31%, and the tentative poll percentage in the final phase is 68.72%. Overall, the tentative poll percentage stands at 63.45%, authorities said.
District Kishtwar recorded the highest poll percentage at 80.20%, followed by Udhampur at 75.87%, Samba at 75.22%, and Reasi at 74.68%.
Among individual constituencies, the highest poll percentage was recorded in Inderwal at 82.16%, followed by Padder-Nagseni at 80.67% and Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Katra at 80.45%.
