Aiming to restore youth’s dignity: PDP’s Zuhaib

Srinagar: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Zuhaib Mir on Tuesday said that the goal of his party is to salvage the dignity and jobs of youth.

As per the news agency CNS, PDP’s Lal Chowk constituency candidate in the forthcoming Assembly Elections, Zuhaib Mir, while talking to reporters during a road show near Ghanta Ghar said that youth are being detained in jails days ahead of Independence Day, Republic Day and other occasions. “First of all we need to find a solution for their (youth) dignity, security and identity. Besides, there are a number of educated youth currently unemployed and we need to do away with this issue,” he said.

Mir also emphasized that the dignity and jobs of youth are foremost important and need to be salvaged at any cost.

“Without overstating, I want to say that the PDP party is still alive in Lal Chowk constituency and I have cent percent faith in the people, democracy and setup that the people of Lal Chowk constituency will support PDP,” Mir said.

While replying to a question pertaining to the surge in participation of independent candidates in the upcoming elections, Zuhaib Mir said it is a good thing that democracy is flourishing. “But other forces should not interfere in the guise of this welcoming democratic step,” he added.
