Srinagar: Gulmarg’s itinerary now includes a new attraction, the “Gul-A-Seum,” following its inauguration Saturday by Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar, GOC-in-C of Northern Command. This unique addition, officially named the “Gulmarg Army Museum,” is designed to showcase the rich history and heritage of Kashmir, highlighting the Indian Army’s role in the security and development of the region.
The museum, a project of the Dagger Division and its Himalayan Brigade, was unveiled in the presence of senior military and civil dignitaries. It aims to celebrate the valor, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of the Indian Armed Forces in nation-building. The state-of-the-art facility will offer visitors insights into the Army’s significant contributions during wartime, its role in national development, and the cultural richness of Jammu & Kashmir.
The Gulmarg Army Museum is expected to enhance the appeal of Gulmarg, providing tourists with an enriching experience of Kashmir’s cultural heritage. The museum features a comprehensive collection of artifacts, documents, and interactive displays, allowing visitors to explore the region’s unique traditions, art, and historical milestones, as well as the Army’s engagement in Jammu & Kashmir.
