Pvt cars ferry tourists, transporters suffer: Ruvais

Srinagar: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Mir Ruvais has expressed serious concern over the financial crisis being faced by the  commercial car owners in Kashmir due to the violation of private vehicle owners  in Kashmir.

He said Private vehicle owners ferry tourists to different tourist destinations in Kashmir thereby violating the transport  rules, which has led to economic crisis to commercial  car owners, who have purchased vehicles after availing loans from banks.

This exercise must stop, Mir told the RTO Kashmir adding that transport deptt must take cognizance of such illegal actions and initiate action against the persons found involved.

There have been numerous incidents of violation of rules in the past also, so the  deptt  must ensure that commercial transporters do not suffer anymore, he said.
