Vigilance Awareness Week: ACB conducts special awareness programmes across J&K

Srinagar:  Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has launched an array of special awareness programs throughout the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2024. These initiatives aim to heighten vigilance consciousness among the populace.

As part of this initiative, ACB Doda organized an event at Government Boys Higher secondary school, Bhaderwah. The event was graced by the officers from various departments, students and staff of the School, a statement issued read.

ACB representatives delivered insightful speeches addressing the pernicious effects of corruption on society and the measures to counter and eliminate it. They provided a comprehensive presentation detailing the nature and adverse impacts of corruption, and elucidated the operational mechanisms of the ACB. They also informed the audience on how to lodge complaints with the ACB and emphasized the pivotal role of public participation in the fight against corruption.

ACB Rajouri organized awareness programs at Higher Secondary School, Manjakote and District Police Lines Rajouri. During these programs the officers from ACB delivered lectures on Zero tolerance for corruption. The participants at both the places hailed the efforts of Anti-Corruption Bureau in organizing the seminar and hoped that the initiative will go a long way in creating awareness against corruption among people.

ACB Jammu organized awareness programs at SKUAST, Jammu and at Central University Jammu. The programs were attended by students, faculty members and other staff members of the universities. T

ACB Srinagar conducted seminars on freedom from corruptions at DC Office Budgam, DC office Ganderbal, Block/ Tehsildar Office Lar, Ganderbal, Govt. Higher Secondary School Lar, Central University, Ganderbal and Govt. Degree College Ganderbal focussing on raising awareness and discussing strategies to combat corruption.

On the occasion, the speakers from ACB provided valuable insights into the current state of corruption and emphasized the crucial role of citizens in promoting transparency and accountability. Gurmeet Singh, AIG, ACB Headquarters conducted awareness program at DC Office Ganderbal.
