Srinagar: The MSME Promotion Council of India has unveiled a series of new initiatives aimed at enhancing and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference here the Council’s President emphasized, “Our mission is to foster the development and stability of small and medium industries in Kashmir. These industries play a crucial role in strengthening the local economy and creating job opportunities.”
The President highlighted that the Council’s goal is to provide Kashmiri entrepreneurs with cutting-edge technical assistance, financial support, and marketing resources. In addition, the Council plans to host various training programs and workshops to equip local MSMEs with the latest business skills and techniques. The aim is to help local businesses achieve international standards and establish themselves in the global market.
Regional Vice Chairman Gohar Ahmad Wani announced that special financial aid and loan schemes will be introduced to support Kashmiri MSMEs and help them overcome financial challenges. He also called on the local government to improve infrastructure and provide legal support to further promote MSMEs.
The press conference saw participation from local traders, entrepreneurs, and media representatives, who raised questions about the new facilities and schemes offered by the Council. Gohar Wani assured that the Council is committed to doing everything possible to support the growth of Kashmiri MSMEs, providing all necessary resources to ensure their success. He affirmed that these new initiatives will significantly advance the development of Kashmiri MSMEs and boost the local economy.
