Srinagar to host maiden J&K Film Conclave

Srinagar:  Srinagar is all set to host the first-ever J&K Film Conclave, bringing together major players and stakeholders from both within and outside J&K.

The conclave is scheduled for August 1 at SKICC and will feature the launch of the Single Window Portal for Film Shooting and Subsidies.

According to officials, the event will also include the inauguration of the J&K Film Screening Series and the Frames of Transformation Photography Competition.

Renowned director Madhur Bhandarkar, who was a judge at the Naya Jammu Kashmir Short Film Competition, will be present to share his vision and ideas for the film conclave, providing valuable insights for attendees.

The event will showcase award-winning films from the Naya Jammu Kashmir Short Film Making Competition and include a felicitation of the winners.

Additionally, the conclave will feature insightful panel discussions with film personalities such as Rahhat Kazmi, Paragg Mehta, and Mir Sarwar, as well as workshops on filmmaking for film enthusiasts. The event will also see the premiere screening of “Country of Blind,” making its debut in India.
