Seminar on ‘Cyber Security and Hygiene’ held at Govt Polytechnic for women in Jammu

Jammu: An interactive seminar/practical session on the topic “Cyber Security and Hygiene” was held today at Govt Polytechnic for women in Jammu.
Er. Neeraj Dubey, Associated Professor, GCET, Jammu, a renowned Cyber Warrior of the UT of MK, who is on the panel of various organizations spreading awareness about cyber security through a series of interactive sessions, was the resource person on the occasion.
It was highly appreciated that he has set a target of awaring 50 thousand stakeholders on the highly relevant topic of cyber security.

During his interactive talk, he deliberated on safe use of the Internet, Cyber Hygiene, Security issues and remedies such as using secure websites, two factor authentication etc. with the help of interactive videos and practical demonstrations, which were highly appreciated by the attendees.

Er. Suket Gupta, Principal, Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Jammu, while welcoming the resource person, thanked him for sparing his services to deliver today’s seminar, which is highly relevant particularly to the girl students who needs to be aware about the misuse of Internet tools such as AI etc. and take remedial measures.

The program was Coordinated and Composed by Er, Deepika Sharma, Lecturer, Computer Engineering Department of this Institution.

The students along with the faculty of E&C and Computer Engineering Department attended the seminar.
