Bharat stands behind those who represent aspirations of J&K people: Altaf  Bukhari

Srinagar: Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari on Thursday said that New Delhi stands behind those who represent the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

“One who represents the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Bharat stands behind him and those who do not have no place in Bharat”, Bukhari told media persons in Srinagar.

He said that he stands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and there is no denying about this fact.

“New Delhi which abrogated Article 370 has given me land and jobs protection and restoration of statehood is in my core agenda and will get that from them too”, the Apni Party President said.

Bukhari said they have remained steadfast in truthful politics for the last five years.

“If peace prevails in Jammu and Kashmir it is because of the people who are in front of you ”, he said.

He said the Apni Party faced criticism and abuses in 2020 but they remained steadfast in truthful politics.

“Don’t you see outpouring for the Apni Party everywhere, it is just for its truthfulness”, he said.

Bukhari recalled that the Home Minister said that political leaders who drenched Jammu and Kashmir in troubles have to be exposed.

“Someone had said that truth and reconciliation commission. I am saying that we will hold a commission on truth to expose the truth about who and by whom the people were killed in Jammu and Kashmir.”, the Apni Party Chief said.

“The people of Srinagar have fed up with the lies. Today they are feeling one man has got standing who speaks bitter..but truth. Those who are against our ideology will be surprised when the results are declared on June 4”, Bukhari affirmed.

Asked about National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah contesting the LS elections from Baramulla, he said “Omar belongs to the people of the city as I, but why did he leave the people of the city when they were in dire need of him”.

He said Omar might have assessed that he would not win the elections from Srinagar. “If one loses the election people still remain their own”,. Bukhari said and added “the biggest punishment in democracy is when the people decide by ballots”.
