Yasha Mudgal tours Srinagar, inspects developmental works under HADP

Srinagar: The Mission Director Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) Yasha Mudgal (IAS) today conducted an extensive tour of Srinagar district. She visited hi-tech polygreen houses at Maloora Qamarwari, vegetable mandi lalmandi Srinagar, controlled crop growing unit HMT and took stock of the agriculture scenario in the area. She held interaction with the vegetable farmers and agri-preneurs of different areas of the district. Speaking to the farmers Mission Director reiterated the departments commitment to the socio-economic development of the farming community of the UT of J&K. She highlighted the importance of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme and asked the farmers to come forward and avail the benefits from different projects under HADP.  She directed the concerned officers to ensure maximum awareness among the farming community across the UT regarding the projects under HADP.

Earlier Mission Director (HADP) visited vegetable mandi at agriculture directorate lalmandi  Srinagar and inspected vegetable stalls and community seed bank there. She also held interactions  with the progressive farmers. Mission Director also released a book on PGS INDIA Organic Certification. Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal, all Joint Directors of the Department,Sectoral officers, Chief Agriculture officer Srinagar  and other senior officers of the department were present on the occasion.
