Srinagar, Mar 19: The Government suspended twelve employees of the Power Development Department on Tuesday and initiated disciplinary proceedings against them.
Principal Secretary of the Power Development Department, H. Rajesh Prasad, issued suspension orders against the 12 employees.
The suspension and disciplinary proceedings target five In-charge Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs), two Assistant Engineers (AEs), and five Junior Engineers.
In separate suspension orders for employees of KPDCL and JPDCL, Prasad stated that disciplinary proceedings under Rule 33 of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1956, are contemplated against them.
Accordingly, the Principal Secretary immediately placed all 12 employees under suspension.
“The suspended officers shall remain attached to the concerned Executive Engineers until further orders,” the order reads.
