Srinagar: Police Station Sopore Sunday said that it received specific intelligence regarding the possession of narcotics by Muhammad Altaf Dar, son of Ghulam Qadir Dar, residing in Mumkak, Sopore.
Acting swiftly, police said, case FIR No. 50/2024 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act was registered at PS Sopore. A police team, led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of PS Sopore and supervised by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sarfaraz Bashir, meticulously executed a raid at the accused’s residence.
During the operation, 1632 capsules of Spasmoproxmax Plus (68 Strips) and 384 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon Plus (16 Strips) were seized, leading to the prompt arrest of the accused, who is currently in police custody. Further investigation is ongoing.
Sopore Police urges conscientious citizens to actively participate in the fight against narcotics and other criminal activities by promptly reporting any relevant information to law enforcement authorities or by dialing 112.
