GMC hosts 2-day workshop on molecular techniques

Srinagar, Mar 07: Aiming to promote advancements in medical research and education, Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar organized a workshop focused on molecular and biochemical techniques.

The workshop, titled “Hands-On Training Course on Molecular and Biochemical Techniques and Their Applications,” started on March 6 and culminated on Thursday.

Under the collaborative efforts of the Multi-disciplinary Research Unit (MRU) established by the Indian Council of Medical Research and the Department of Biochemistry at Government Medical College Srinagar, the event garnered attention from both students and faculty members.

The inauguration ceremony, attended by Prof. Masood Tanvir, Principal and Dean of GMC Srinagar, marked the beginning of an engaging two-day session.

Attendees, comprising enthusiastic participants from GMC Srinagar and various colleges, exhibited a keen interest in delving into the intricacies of molecular and biochemical methodologies.

With a focus on practical applications, the workshop featured interactive sessions facilitated by distinguished resource persons from renowned national and international institutions.

These experts delivered insightful lectures and provided hands-on supervision, offering attendees valuable insights into the latest advancements and best practices in the field, GMC said.
