Srinagar, Mar 07: Hameeda Bano, a prominent figure in the dairy industry hailing from the Lar area of Ganderbal, has emerged as a symbol of empowerment through her dairy venture, Asli Dahi.
During an interaction with the Prime Minister on Thursday, she shared her journey of success, attributing her accomplishments to the support received from the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM).
She informed the Prime Minister that she benefited from the NRLM and opened a processing unit for milk products.
Operating from a milk processing unit, Hameeda Bano has not only established a thriving business but has also created employment opportunities for other women in her community.
She informed the Prime Minister about the quality checks, packaging, and marketing of her products. Her milk products are devoid of preservatives, and she explained the elaborate marketing strategies for her delicate products.
The Prime Minister praised her for her business acumen and for contributing to nutrition initiatives. He also commended her commitment to quality and environmentally friendly business practices.
